NSL

Furniture and seating for main offices.

We were recently approached by leading service provider, NSL, as they had acquired a new premises for their head office based in Slough.  Based in the Urban Building, the NSL team were looking to create a contemporary space suitable for around 40 people with a focus upon hot desking.  On initially visiting the premises, the office was completely open plan with windows on three sides and beautiful views of nearby Windsor Castle.  This was a perfect blank canvas with which to be creative, and NSL’s design brief encouraged us to incorporate many different areas including: a break out area, a reception, executive offices, meeting spaces for both internal and external meetings and also a boardroom to accommodate up to 15 people.  The office needed to have a clean, contemporary feel with an emphasis on collaborative working.

During the initial planning stages, we modelled 3D plans of the office space - we made the best use of the available light from the windows through the incorporation of silicone jointed glass partitioning throughout the offices.  This also helped to open up the offices, so that they look more welcoming and open.  We also included NSL’s corporate colours and branding in to the designs, using contrasting colour themes in order to separate the working areas from the breakout areas.  For example, the canteen was fitted with vinyl flooring in a warm oak finish with zesty green fabrics which contrast greatly from the white desks and blue carpets of the main office areas.

The 3D plans are invaluable in deciphering capacity within office spaces, as well as planning for future growth.  Another advantage is that it shows how various ranges or styles will look in situ with specific finishes. In this case, the plans enabled us to select the best range to suit NSL’s requirements and carry out any amendments as necessary.  The Pure desking range was selected with wave desks which incorporate pedestal drawers in to the structure of the desk- this range is available in around 15 different MFC finishes, though White MFC was selected in order to make the area seem brighter and more contemporary.

The reception area was a key point of interest as it will give clients their first impression of the company- there was a need to make the style striking and welcoming.  We included the ZENFUNK reception units with integral lighting as a focal point, which was complimented by the use of contemporary Mae chairs.  We also incorporated an additional corridor in to the plan, so that access to the boardroom and meeting rooms was possible directly from reception, without having to disturb the main office area.

‘We thought the service was excellent- you have all been very helpful and quick to respond throughout the process, and made it all very easy.  It was great that Steve listened to what we wanted and came back with some excellent ideas, and then continued to develop these as per our requests.  His knowledge of what would work where and how the rooms should be laid out was incredibly useful and the whole process was as smooth as it could have been.  We are really pleased with the quality of the furniture and its ease of use.’ – Liz, Project Manager

Furniture and seating for the main office and reception area.

Diamond Recruitment required new furniture to fit in with their corporate image at their new premises in Wellingborough, as the business had expanded.

"The Verve Workspace staff have been excellent to deal with and very professional. Steve visiting my offices, gave me fresh ideas and office drawings on where the furniture would be positioned, which was very helpful. The office furniture which we ordered was very good quality and at a very fair price. I would have no hesitation in recommending Verve to other businesses."

The reception area needed to be striking yet welcoming, whilst the main office area needed to be functional, and incorporate storage for the users. The office layout uses Pure combination desks in a fantastic walnut MFC and white finish, giving the room a fresh, contemporary feel, which works really well.  The reception is from the Valde range, and incorporates lighting in its modular composition- the white finish creates a really modern and fresh look for the reception which contrasts really nicely against the feature wall.

Hullabazoo- Whipsnade Zoo

Reception area for team based at Hallabazoo children's area.

"Verve workspace really did listen to the needs of the business. Colour matches so well with the brand and create a more comfortable workspace for myself and team. Great job!! would definitely recommend them!"

The team at Hullabazoo were looking to update their reception area within the kid's indoor area.  The reception needed to be welcoming as well as functional for the team members, as well as fitting in with the company's corporate colours.

We created a modular reception configuration with soft curves in white MFC with lime green modesty panels- this gave the reception a lovely fresh and contemporary feel.  We incorporated top box units in to the design in order to give the users some privacy, but also left some units low in order to make the reception more welcoming to customers.

Seating & Furniture for Conference Rooms and Reception

"Everybody that has seen the new space, from clients to staff, have made comments on how fresh and light the facilities are, with many people saying it’s a pleasure to hold meetings in rooms that are furnished to such high standards."

This project was aimed at providing furniture and seating for a Milton Keynes charity who specialise in providing conference and meeting facilities for organisations.  The charity wanted to create a highly professional business image, and offer flexible and collaborative meeting spaces.  Flip top tables were the most suited choice for the meeting areas, because they are on castors and can be moved and folded away whenever they are not in use.  The white finish of the furniture adds a fresh, contemporary feel, and really helps to contrast the vivid green carpet throughout the offices.

Reception and cafe areas look wonderful with the corporate colours in the mix.
